| I offer workshops for teens (and tweens) in the art of Silkscreen Printing on T-shirts. These fun events help participants learn about this unique and special way to express themselves. Students learn the most popular methods of printing on T-shirts. They design the artwork; prepare the stencils; and then print their one-of-a-kind shirts. We usually print 2 or 3 colors in about 1 1/2 hours. I bring all equipment and supplies, including T-shirts. Finished shirts are permanent, washable, and very colorful. These programs do not make a mess! T-shirt printing has proved to be extremely well received: At one library the teens voted this the most popular program 'ever'! Most all subject matter works well with Silkscreen Printing. As a Master Printmaker I explain in careful detail the techniques of this art form. I work closely with the participants to resolve technical questions and to help insure that their shirts are professional quality and a true refection of their efforts to Express Themselves! These programs let participants explore something new and different in a relaxed and fun environment. In the words of one recent participant, "Dude, this is really cool!" |
